ABOUT ME
Welcome to middle school art! My name is Kathy Klug and this is my 23nd year teaching art at Crestwood Middle School. I feel fortunate to work for a district that values and supports the fine arts in your student's education. Unlike elementary programs, your student will have art everyday for entire marking period! Students will be able to develop and create several pieces of art as well as learn about art periods and significant artists during their time with me. I will be married 22 years this March to my husband, Ted. We have two children. Our son, Ian, is 17 and keeps me VERY busy attending his activities. He is a senior this year and we are knee deep in college applications and tours! My daughter, Ava, is 14 and beginning her freshman year. This will be the first time in six years that I am not also a middle school parent! Cross country, theater, track, violin, and art are just a few of the activities that both Ian and Ava participate in and out of school. In my spare time, I enjoy camping, photography, and scrapbooking. The latter two make me a good fit to be Crestwood's yearbook adviser! I really enjoy working with a small group of students each year to make a book of middle school memories. Looking forward to another fabulous year collaborating, creating, and challenging in the arts! |
